Daphne Kalotay’s books include the bestselling novels Sight Reading and Russian Winter—winners of the 2014 New England Society Book Award and the 2011 Writers’ League of Texas Fiction Award, respectively—and the fiction collection Calamity and Other Stories, shortlisted for the Story Prize. Her new novel, Blue Hours, was released in 2019. Published in 20+ languages, her work has received fellowships from the Christopher Isherwood Foundation, MacDowell, Bogliasco, and Yaddo, among others, and her short story "Relativity" was the 2017 One City One Story Boston selection. She has written for the New York Times Book Review, The Rumpus, VIDA, Electric Literature, and Poets & Writers, and her interviews with Mavis Gallant can be read in the Paris Review’s Writers-At-Work series.
