John Langan’s 2016 novel, The Fisherman, won the Bram Stoker and This Is Horror awards. He is the author of another novel, House of Windows (Night Shade 2009), and of three collections: Sefira and Other Betrayals (2019), The Wide, Carnivorous Sky and Other Monstrous Geographies (2013) and Mr. Gaunt and Other Uneasy Encounters (2008). With Paul Tremblay, he co-edited Creatures: Thirty Years of Monsters (2011). He is one of the founders of the Shirley Jackson Awards, for which he served as judge during its first three years. Currently, he reviews horror and dark fantasy for Locus magazine. He lives in New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley with his wife, younger son, and a Gibson SG that plays early AC/DC and Black Sabbath at all hours of the day and night.
